CNC routing turns approved digital geometry into repeatable parts, cutouts, profiles, pockets, letters, panels, and components. The useful question is not simply whether a router can cut the material; it is whether the file, tool path, hold-down method, edge requirement, and tolerance suit the finished part you need.

A round router bit cannot create a perfectly sharp internal corner. Tabs, dog-bone reliefs, larger radii, hand work, or a different process may be required when another part must fit into the opening.
Closed vectors, correct scale, clean layers, no duplicate paths, and clearly identified pockets or through-cuts reduce interpretation and prevent the machine from following unintended lines.
A decorative sign panel, paint-grade cabinet part, drilling template, and fitted mechanical component do not require the same tolerance. The intended use should be stated before quoting.

Custom fabrication should begin with an approved shape, material, thickness, quantity, and finish expectation. The proposal should also state who provides the file, who owns final fit, and whether sanding, assembly, paint, hardware, packing, or delivery is included.

We review the requested part before cutting material. That gives us time to identify details that are too small, geometry that is open or duplicated, material limitations, and dimensions that need confirmation.
Vector files are preferred when available. Photos, dimensions, quantity, material, thickness, and the intended use help us determine what additional drawing work may be required.
We check scale, closed paths, internal corners, minimum detail, tool access, kerf or cutter diameter, hold-down needs, and whether the part can be produced safely and consistently.
Projects with critical fit, repeated quantities, unusual material, or fine detail may benefit from a sample or approved first piece before the full run proceeds.
Parts are cut from the approved information. Quantity, major dimensions, orientation, and obvious defects are checked before packing or transfer.
